Mike and Malen Papadopoulos have joined Home For Good as missionaries to serve in the Philippines to help establish adoption ministries in churches throughout the country. Malen is Filipina, was born in Manila and speaks fluent Tagalog. She is eager to roll up her sleeves and get involved in seriouss ministry to the orphan children there. Mike and their daughter, Michaela have already visited the Philippines so they will have an easy time adjusting when they move to Manila for a long-term ministry tour. For now they are in the process of raising their support which is quite challenging in these difficult economic times, but God is not daunted by the woes of man and He will provide. I had the privilage of meeting Mike and Malen, prior to Malen departure for the Philippines. I am excited to meet up with her in late August and see how the Lord has been working in her ministry. I have word that we currently have two families waiting to adopt. This is great news. How amazing would it be to be able to bring funds to sponsor one of these adoptions when I leave in August.
